The range of e-bikes is growing enormously. We are also seeing more and more special e-bikes, for example with a vintage design. We hope to be able to present a number of these at the first edition of our fair. It is not yet known whether the Super73 electric bicycles are also included.
That would be very interesting because the new ZX Electric Bike from this brand seems to us to be one of the most promising e-bikes of the moment. The new ZX Electric Bike clearly shows why Super73 has built such a great image. The ZX Electric Bike is not great value for money but also has a beautiful vintage design and excellent performance.
ZX Electric Bike
Super73’s latest model features the inimitable vintage design for which the brand is known, and includes upgraded electronics, a lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum frame and a larger, replaceable battery. In addition, it has a completely redesigned seat – with the option to carry a passenger – and improved ergonomics with a more upright seating position.
This new design makes the ZX Electric Bike one of Super73’s most comfortable e-bikes. The ZX’s frame is made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy 6061-T6. This makes it much lighter and stiffer than steel. In addition, aluminum is much more resistant to corrosion. That means carefree driving in all weather conditions.
The ZX Electric Bike features an updated version of Super73’s propulsion system, which features several riding modes. It gets its energy from a 615 watt-hour removable battery. The new motor can deliver a peak power of 1350 watts.
In the US, it comes pre-programmed in ECO assist mode. This makes it possible to drive with pedal assistance up to a speed of 36 km/h. The range is more than 80 kilometers. If you don’t want to pedal, the range will be about 50 kilometers at a speed of more than 36 km/h. Unlike in Europe, this generally allows you to legally ride on most bike paths and public roads in the US without a driver’s license, insurance or registration.
The copies that Super73 offers in Europe are of course adapted to European standards. For example, the e-bikes have improved Magura brakes and the riding mode has also been adjusted. As a result, the bicycles are certified as Electric Pedal Assist Cycles (EPAC) and fall into the e-bike category. The ZX has a somewhat lower maximum speed here (25 km/h), the range is then 50 kilometers.
